Horse and cart.

Today’s photo from the hip comes from Elin at Taste of Slow. She took this photo in the fishing village of St. Louis, Senegal. I love how these two men may not know their picture is being taken, but still seem like they are very aware of Elin walking down the street. And the horse parked on the sidewalk is a little comical too.

Market tomatoes.

Today’s photo from the hip comes from Montreal, Canada. We met up with Abu Dhabi friends at the amazing Jean Talon Market for some shopping and snacks. I’m never sure how vendors will react to having their wares photographed, so I either refrain or get sneaky. I really liked these tomatoes…just pretend they’re in focus or embrace the dreamy quality.

Today’s photo from the hip comes from Ottawa, Canada. On the way back to our prison hostel, a snapped a shot of this street artist. It’s hard to believe he’s working in chalk. Unfortunately, there was a big rain storm a few days later and I doubt his work survived.
