Happy New Year

It’s like fresh paint.

I welcomed in the new year with good friends, sparkling drinks, and a desert fire. We counted down the seconds and watched the fireworks in the distance. It was laughs and hugs and “How was your holiday?” and great.

2010 you were a friendly even numbered year. Let’s see what this odd fellow 2011 has to offer…

American Thanksgiving

aka Real Thanksgiving

Canadian Thanksgiving
last month was the perfect event to get me in the mood for our Thanksgiving. I can’t think of a better time to eat mounds and mounds of mashed potatoes.

A similar crowd came together to celebrate the American side of things.

The Canadians did a fine job of decorating the place with an American twist and providing mind boggling Thanksgiving trivia, complete with pictures.

It was another fun and delicious evening.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating at home!

For the record.

It needs to be said.

I was a bit nervous to travel solo this summer. Granted, I wasn’t alone for very long and I was traveling in safe places… but I was worried about my navigation skills. Turns out, I didn’t need to!

I’m actually pretty good.

Thank goodness.

Technology

… always wins.

My computer is being a bit pesky at the moment. I’m off to the shop to see what can be done. Blog posts and emails will likely be on delay.
