“Don’t approach me. I’ll stab you.”
Way back before Molly and I embarked upon our desert based film career, we did a little camping there.
Sixteen of us packed up our camping gear and found a nice sandy spot in the dunes. It was a pleasant evening around the campfire (minus the one belligerent), complete with rides in a brand new dune buggy.
Full of sand the next morning we headed back to Abu Dhabi, only to be stopped in the road by some wayward camels.
More desert photos here.

Thanks to Milad for the photos!
Wow, Jill, I love the camels! Were they wild? How amazing to see “foreign” animals just walking across the road! I love it!
Oh, and btw, how does “Don’t approach me. I’ll stab you.” (as written at the top of this blog)apply? I didn’t see any further reference to it.
that desert dunes is beyond amazing. i just went there and i really love Abu Dhabi and Dubai so much. had tons of picture takings at the sand dunes. hehe
your camping trip at the dessert looks like so much fun! have a prosperous new year!
Toni: The camels were from a camel farm, I’m guessing. There was a camelherd with them. “Don’t approach me, I’ll stab you.” was my favorite quote from the one guy who drank too much.
Noelle, glad you enjoyed the UAE!
Do camels like [Tutku]?
