Quite the spectacle.Before leaving Abu Dhabi, my friends and I had a color fight on the beach at sunset. Needless to say, we turned a few heads.

After reading the Wiki page about the dyes they use for Holi, I’m so scared of fights like these! I was sort of happy that I was sick on Holi while I was in India… it always looks like so much fun though! If only they came up with healthy colours, I’d be all over it!
Eeep! I just read the wiki now. It never really occurred to me before but I guess I should have known better. I’m telling myself that since it was only on my body for about 20 minutes that I’m not completely full of poison now! But it was really fun while it lasted…
I just did a little research because my friend is doing a color run this summer. It looks like there are safe and organic powders available so maybe one day you can have a fun AND safe color fight/holi celebration! Although…probably not in India.
