From me to you.One of my favorite little elements of travel is sending postcards. Before each trip I compile a list of recipients. My parents and grandparents are guaranteed a postcard each time I travel, and then there’s a list of rotating friends and family.
Since I am departing from UAE in about two weeks, I realized this is the last opportunity I’ll have for postcard sending from Abu Dhabi. What a great time to send postcards out to friends, family, and readers.
Plus, my favorite stationery shop is well stocked with outdated postcards. Seriously, these things are at least 20 years old and make me laugh every time.
So if you’d like a postcard depicting life in the Emirates circa 1990, leave a comment or contact me before Friday, May 25th!
xo, jill
Yay, I would love a post card!! I’m emailing you my address.
I love this photo. Did you take it or is it a postcard?
I would quite like to get a 20 year old postcard from Abu Dhabi. I will send you my e-mail!
Just send you an email asking where you were, but this answered my question! I’d like a postcard please. I’ll email you my address.
I took it on a desert safari about a month ago. If you’re saying my photo could be a postcard then I think that might justify me buying the new camera I’ve been eying.
I think it would look nice framed and placed on a wall. Go ahead, get yourself a new camera.
Hi Kahleel. I didn’t receive an email from you. Maybe you just haven’t sent it yet?
i absolutely adore that you’re doing this! i had the same idea when i started planning for my travels a little while ago. there’s nothing more personal and endearing. and SUCH a beautiful photo!
OOOOOooooo! I love postcards! Yes, please. 😀
just send me an email with your address and i’ll get it in the mail today or tomorrow!
thank you!
in the mail!
When I went back to buy them I found more that were at least 35-40 years old, not being sold as “vintage” whatsoever. Hopefully the shopkeeper has noticed that a few things have changed around here during that many years! I put it in the mail yesterday.
YAY! I got your postcard today, thank you!
